Pethidine hydrochloride is a powerful drug used to relieve severe or constant pain which cannot be controlled by any other pain relievers.It can also be used before painful operations or during childbirth to reduce the pain. Pethidine acts on specific opioid receptors in the brain, blocking the delivery of pain messages. In doing so, pethidine decreases the brain's awareness of the pain, thus providing pain relief.

3. Morphine Sulphate

Morphine is a narcotic pain management agent indicated for the relief of pain in patients who require opioid analgesics for more than a few days. Morphine appears to increase the patient's tolerance for pain and to decrease discomfort, although the presence of the pain itself may still be recognized.
